Our Pastor

Pastor Dominic P. Pennachietti is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born in February of 1977. At the tender age of four-years old, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. In 1982, his father, Dominic J. Pennachietti, followed the leading of God and accepted the call of Pastor at the Bethel Baptist Church in September of 1982. He faithfully pastored Bethel for thirty-nine years, retiring in March of 2021.

At ten years of age, Dominic P. Pennachietti sat under the preaching of Evangelist Tim Lee and surrendered his life to the Lord for full-time service, although he did not know what that fully meant at the time. He graduated from Bethel Baptist Academy in 1995, and immediately enrolled into the Berea Bible Institute. Berea was a local church Bible instituted founded by Pastor Dominic J. Pennachietti in 1986. He graduated BBI in the year 2000 having completed four years of Biblical studies and two years of Pastoral training. In 1998, he left his job and went to work full time for the Bethel Baptist Church and Academy. He served there for the next thirteen years. He served as a schoolteacher, Sunday School teacher and superintendent, bus worker and director, teacher and director of the Bible Institute, associate pastor, as well as deacon. His ministry saw people saved and added to the church. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in 2007.

In 2011, The Lord called him to pastor a church in another section of Philadelphia called “South Philadelphia.” The Lord graciously allowed him to pastor there for ten years. If it had been up to him, he would have never left, but in late 2019, like Jacob, God called him back to Bethel! The transition to Bethel went smoothly as the church received him unanimously in March of 2021. He now has the privilege of pastoring the church where he matured physically and spiritually. This past march he completed his fourth year as pastor.

Dominic Pennachietti married Denise Shipley, his high school sweetheart on May 9, 1998. They have just celebrated twenty-seven years of marriage. The Lord has blessed him with six children. They were blessed with the opportunity of adopting their youngest son Caleb in 2015 at three years of age. God has granted him the great joy of being able to serve the body of Christ along with his wife and children.
